Well, with John Buck and Mark Teahen now departed (thank God) the beads and fur trade for Beltran is now officially closed and the Royals have nothing to show for it. I just wonder how these people who orchestrated this trade in the Royals front office can even find their way out of bed in the morning. It's safe to say they are clueless. So goes trading potential all-stars for "prospects" as they are usually called.

I guess we could also go so far as to look at the future of the Royals' minor league system, that through all these years of top and near top draft picks the organization should be busting with talent. It isn't. So, the question asked should be are the same people who orchestrated the Beltran trade also the guys who choose who the Royals are drafting? Maybe, just maybe, instead of changing managers every couple years the Royals should change those annointed to the scouting departments for as it stands now, they haven't a clue.
